This series reveals the human values Hodaka has been
working with. From My Collection Prints 1979-84 show a house or another human artifact, things from all around the world as
captured by Hodaka’s camera and shaped by his artistic vision. The object stands isolated from its original context and floated
against a plain ground and sky. It alone is the focus of our contemplation. Does it have a story about who might have made
it or how it was used? Like a primitive artifact it has its own dignity, its own echo of what is central for human life.
